About this experience
We will visit the largest and most beautiful temple in Vietnam. I will tell you about life during the war at the Museum of Military History. We will explore Ben Thanh Market - one of the best places for shopping in Ho Chi Minh City and talk about the traditions and customs of the people.
Route
- Vinh Nghiem Buddhist Pagoda. Built between 1964 and 1971 by architect Nguyen Ba Lang. The Japanese style is due to the influence of the Japanese-Vietnamese Association, which participated in the construction of the pagoda. The pagoda is considered the largest in Vietnam, with the largest Buddhist Association in the country located on its premises.
- Museum of Military History. It is one of the most visited places in Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition mainly consists of photographs and trophy equipment, revealing new aspects of the war. The Americans dropped so many bombs on the country that each Vietnamese had to deal with 100 kilograms of deadly cargo. Vietnamese, who philosophically relate to death, present very sharp and shocking documents for inspection at the museum.
- Ben Thanh Market. One of the best places for shopping in Ho Chi Minh City. This huge market takes us back to the times of French occupation. Ben Thanh Market may not look as majestic and attractive as stylish modern shopping centers, but it has its own twist that attracts even the most whimsical and demanding shoppers.
- Lacquerware Exhibition. The art of creating lacquerware was developed in the mid-15th century. Initially, the Vietnamese used lacquer solely for insulating things, making them waterproof. Drawings are created on lacquer by engraving, painting, or inlaying with mother-of-pearl, eggshell, silver, or even gold.
