About the organizer
I am a native of St. Petersburg, by education a librarian. History and art have always interested and attracted me. Back in St. Petersburg, I fell in love with Gothic art, Flemish and Dutch painting while studying for several years in the courses 'History of Painting and Architecture' at the Hermitage. I have been living in Belgium for 20 years now, working as a guide, and here I obtained a diploma in art history. I draw my knowledge from historical books, notes of old travelers, my own observations, interactions with Belgians and descendants of the first white emigration. Of great help to me is my husband, who is a history professor at the University of Brussels and president of the 'Dynasty Museum' or, as it is now called, the 'Museum of Belgium.'
