About this experience
This excursion is for those who do not want to waste time and strive to see all the main highlights of Paris in the first hours of their journey! I will meet you at one of the city's airports in my car, tell you about the history of Paris, give some valuable tips, and introduce you to the main attractions of the capital from the Eiffel Tower to Notre-Dame Cathedral. At the end of the tour, you will find yourself at your hotel or apartments, ready to continue exploring Paris independently!
What to Expect
Paris Landmarks
I will introduce you to the main sights of the city and help you form a first impression of Paris. You will visit the Place de la Concorde, take a look at the Tuileries Gardens and the inner courtyard of the Louvre, stop at the Garnier Opera, stroll along the Champs-Elysées, admire the Arc de Triomphe, and greet the 'Parisian Beauty,' the Eiffel Tower. We will pass by the Hôtel des Invalides, cross the most beautiful bridge in Paris, and head to the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral. You will learn how Paris has changed over the centuries from an ancient Gallic town to a modern metropolis. I will talk about the major milestones in the city's history, the emergence of Freemasonry, and the influence of legendary figures on the city: from Henry IV and Louis XIV to Charles de Gaulle and Nostradamus.
Gastronomic Life of the City
I will recommend interesting cafes where you can have a delicious and inexpensive lunch, tell you about the most authentic cafes in Paris or high-end restaurants. We will stroll through the Latin Quarter to the oldest restaurant 'Procope,' look at the first ice-cream parlor in Europe. Along the way, you will hear stories about famous cafes in Paris, learn about the origin of the word 'bistro,' and understand why the residents love Montmartre so much.
During the tour, I will explain how to visit museums without waiting in line, when it is more comfortable to visit the Royal Residences, and try to answer all other questions.
Organizational Details
- The program lasts 3 hours, including 1 hour for the airport meeting and transfer to Paris, and 2 hours for a brief sightseeing tour of the city ending at your hotel or apartments.
- The offer is valid for Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. An additional 100€ fee applies for booking the tour with a transfer from Beauvais-Tillé airport.
