Touch the 'Magnificent Century': Photo walk to filming locations
About this experience
Feeling like a hero of the 'Magnificent Century' is not easy: almost the entire series was filmed in pavilions. However, locals know that there are places in Istanbul that made it to the big screen. I will show you these locations. We will take professional photos, take a walk, and then have coffee and discuss the life of Sultan Suleiman.
What to expect
Beautiful shots in the best locations
We will go to the area where some scenes of the 'Magnificent Century' series were filmed. You will see the palace of Princess Isabella, where she spent her days when she was held captive by Sultan Suleiman. Admire the palace where Shehzade Mustafa went after coming of age. In addition, we will visit a park where you can take atmospheric photos. An ancient wooden mosque, ponds with swans, and a breathtaking view of the city will be beautiful backgrounds for your photos. Of course, I will help you choose the pose and the right angle so that the shots are lively and memorable.
Turkish break
To relax and share impressions, we will make a stop at an authentic café. Over a cup of spicy Turkish coffee or fragrant tea, we will discuss the beauties seen and talk about the series, its main characters, and their prototypes. If after the walk you want to go shopping, I will tell you where the nearest shopping center is located, or explain how to get to one of the most modern districts, Kadikoy.
Organizational details
How the photo walk goes
- Please note: this is not a guided tour. You will have a photo walk.
- Within 5-10 days after the walk, you will receive the source files of the photos, as well as 20 selected shots professionally edited.
- You need to make your way to Ayrylyk Cheshmesi on your own. This can be done by metro from Sultanahmet (Sirkeci / Gulhane station). If you are staying elsewhere, write to me, I will help you find your way.
What is included and what is not in the price
- Coffee and tea are not included and are paid separately: tea - 4 liras, coffee - 7-8 liras, desserts - 9-15 liras
- The cost of transfer from Ayrylyk Cheshmesi to the photo shoot location is included in the photo walk price
