If you want to see all the highlights of Helsinki without wasting a minute, welcome to my immersive tour! Meeting at Vantaa airport terminal, we will take a train to the heart of the Finnish capital. In just a couple of hours, you will learn about the past and present of Helsinki, get acquainted with Finnish traditions and customs, see the Imperial Palace and Knight's House, follow the footsteps of Moomin trolls, and of course, taste Finnish cuisine. I will be your guide through the northern city center, sharing useful tips and stories about Finnish monarchs, architects, and extraordinary personalities.
What to expect
Helsinki in all its glory: from knights to Moomin trolls
Half an hour of scenic road with rich stories about the town of Vantaa and Finnish life - and you are in concise and aristocratic Helsinki. We will stroll through the main city parks and squares, admiring unusual sculptures. Explore the city center with Empire-style facades, see the Cathedral, and try to compare the Finnish capital with Imperial St. Petersburg. You will hear stories about the former Imperial Palace, learn which German made it into the collection of 'One Hundred Remarkable Finns,' pass by the Knight's House and the Parliament, where I will talk about Swedish rule and the political features of modern Finland. At the Tove Jansson monument, we will discuss the life of the legendary fairy tale author and the place of charming Moomin trolls in Helsinki's life!
Everything you need to know about Finns
On the way, of course, I will answer all your questions about Finland and the unique Finnish people. You will learn about the country's culture and brightest traditions: find out how people work, relax, celebrate, and what these Finns are like in general. Special attention will be paid to Finnish cuisine - I will tell you how the famous local pastry 'Runeberg Cake' appeared and who it is named after, and reveal the secret of what should be spread on Finnish cheese. After the walk, I will recommend you a restaurant where you can have a tasty and budget-friendly lunch (within 12 euros) with Finnish dishes and enjoy a cozy atmosphere.

- We will reach the city by a comfortable high-speed train, the journey will take half an hour. The cost of the tour does not include transportation from the airport to Helsinki.
