About this experience
Hoist the sails! I invite you to an author's walk along the mighty Volga River to enjoy the aquatic romance, admire the nature of Tatarstan from the best perspective, see the panoramas of Sviyazhsk, find mollusks in the Pechishchin quarry, and swim in the purest river bay. The adventure will be complemented by yachting lessons from the captain and fascinating stories about the places we will encounter along the way.
What to Expect
Nature and Landmarks of Tatarstan from the Volga! Our water route will run along the coast of Kazan, past river bays and small islands. We will pass by the Temple of All Religions, where Orthodox domes neighbor a Muslim minaret and a Buddhist pagoda; past the old water intake, Marquis Island, the villages of Verkhny and Nizhny Uslon. And on the way, I will share stories of the mighty Volga and the places we will sail past.
Mini Yachting Lesson. If desired, during the walk, you can learn to sail a yacht: help the captain anchor during mooring, stand at the helm, learn how to catch a fair wind, and familiarize yourself with the basic principles of sailing.
