About this experience
Helsinki is a city connected with the destinies of many famous Russians: writers, wealthy merchants and patrons, descendants of noble families. I will share their stories with you, show places related to Russia or events involving Russian characters, and help you see Helsinki as a very 'fraternal' city.
What to expect
The longer I live in Helsinki and the more I learn about the city - the more I am amazed at how closely the histories of two countries, two nations are intertwined.
Sinebryukhovs and Demidovs, Kuprin and Belinsky, Repin, Aurora Karamzin and Anna Vyrubova - these and other Russian people whose destinies were inseparably linked to Helsinki.
Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral - the largest Orthodox cathedral in Northern Europe. And many other interesting and fascinating stories, characters, and places directly related to Russia.
I will tell you all about this and share my joy of discoveries, try to paint a picture of our common historical past.
Tickets to museums and events are paid for separately and independently.
