About this experience
Spend a day fun and active, cool off in the heat, admire the emerald nature of Turkey - that's the plan for this trip! With an experienced instructor, you will raft down a mountain river in Köprülü Canyon, get a dose of excitement, and see the ancient Roman bridge of Oluk. The rafting trip includes stops for rest and lunch. Group transfer by bus is also included in the price.
What to Expect
Köprülü Canyon National Park. You will head to one of the most beautiful gorges in Turkey, where pine, cypress, and cedar trees will shelter you from the summer sun. The river you will raft down maintains a temperature of 12 degrees even on the hottest day.
Class 1 and 2 rafting. This adventure is suitable for everyone dreaming of rafting but fearing fast currents and challenging rapids. Even beginners will easily conquer the Köprüçay River. And the local guys, who have been rafting down this river since birth, will ensure safety.
Itinerary
- 08:30-09:30 - departure from hotels (in Side region). There will be a stop on the way where you will sign the insurance policy.
- Arrival at the Rafting Base in Köprülü Canyon (Beshkonak village)
- Briefing, getting necessary equipment and gear
- Boarding the buses and road to the rafting starting point
- Body-rafting (passing through water for adaptation) to get used to the mountain river. Here you can also take a photo near the waterfall.
- Boarding the rafts and start of rafting. Rafting 10 km with stops for rest and lunch (at the base restaurant).
- Rafting finish. Boarding the transfer and returning to the base.
- Transfer back to the hotel
- 18:00-19:00 - return to the hotel (in Side region)

Important to Know About the Format
- Köprüçay River has a temperature of 12 degrees and rapids of 1 and 2 difficulty levels (suitable for beginners)
- Children are allowed from 3 years old (from 3 to 6 years old - under the responsibility of parents). Children sit in the middle of the raft.
- Rafting is done on a raft in a group of up to 10 people
How the Trip Goes
- International groups are on rafting. Briefing is conducted by a Russian-speaking coordinator, but the instructors in the rafts only know basic phrases in Russian.
- Transfer from and to the hotel is done by a comfortable bus with air conditioning. Only the driver accompanies you, who does not speak Russian.
- The distance from the center of Side to the canyon is 70 km
- Timing may vary depending on the weather, the number of people in the group, and other factors
- Children under 6 years old do not have a separate seat in the transfer. Children sit together with adults (on laps). A personal lunch is also not provided for children; they eat with their parents. If you want your child under 6 years old to have a separate seat in the transfer and receive a personal lunch, then when booking, you need to get a corresponding ticket for them.
