About this experience
I will show you the 'must-see' places of Barcelona: Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, the Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter. I will tell you interesting facts about the city and the mentality of its locals. And I will capture on camera your emotions from discovering the wonderful Catalan capital!
What to Expect
Barcelona through the centuries
Our photo walk will start at Plaça de Catalunya – the meeting point of the Old and New City. I will tell you how Barcelona looked before the demolition of its fortifications and who contributed to the creation of its modern appearance. I will also entertain you with legends and myths that fill the Catalan capital. You will walk along the famous La Rambla, uncover the secrets of its ancient buildings, and see the city's most famous confectionery. You will find the location where 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' was filmed and recall which movies featured Barcelona as a backdrop.
Secrets of the Gothic Quarter
You will stroll through the Old Town and learn why the Royal Square once had a bad reputation, why they refused to take the dying Gaudí to the hospital, and why Montserrat Caballé gave a concert at the ruins of the Liceu Theater. I will show you the most interesting places of the Gothic Quarter, the oldest building in the city, and the spot where newlyweds love to take pictures. I will tell you how many times the Cathedral has been rebuilt and help you immerse in the mysterious world of the Middle Ages.
Freeze, Frame!
During the excursion, we will take some staged photos and I will also capture you in a reportage style. You will enjoy the light yet mysterious atmosphere of the city while listening to an interesting story, and I will capture your best shots.
