You will immerse yourself in it with a historian guide who will unveil the secrets of the abandoned city, its majestic pyramids, and share stories about the main landmarks of vibrant Mexico City.
What to Expect
A Day of Adventures
Transfer from nearby resorts to Cancun airport takes on average an hour. Direct flights from Cancun to Mexico City take about 2.5 hours. Yes, a significant part of the day will be spent on the road. But we will try to make it as comfortable and effortless as possible. If needed, we can assist with tickets and transfers. And of course, we will organize full guidance in Teotihuacan and Mexico City - with transportation between sites and fascinating stories about the iconic monuments of different epochs of Mexico.
The Place Where Gods Touched the Earth
First, we will head to the archaeological complex where you will witness up close the majestic pyramids of the Sun, Moon, and Quetzalcoatl. You will learn about the origins of the settlement, which later became one of the largest cities in Mesoamerica and the Ancient World, its period of prosperity, and the mystical disappearance of its inhabitants. Near the ruins, we will talk about what science knows about past highly developed civilizations and what remains a mystery, giving rise to countless speculations about the true history of humanity.
Historic Center of Mexico City
Next, you will explore the world of the Mexican capital. We've included the most spectacular and interesting landmarks of the old and modern city districts in the program. You will visit the Palace of Fine Arts - Mexico City Theater, Casa Azulejos - the Tile House, the Cathedral - the oldest temple in the Spanish part of America, Constitution Square Zocalo, as well as the National Palace and the archaeological zone of Templo Mayor. And through these monuments, you will be able to envision the path Mexico City has taken from the capital of the Aztec Empire to the capital of Mexico and one of the largest metropolises in the world.
🌮 🌯 After the tour, we will invite you to the most refined and exotic San Juan food market. Here, you can taste edible insects (grasshoppers, tarantulas), crocodile and buffalo meat, or enjoy traditional - juicy, aromatic, and spicy - dishes of hot Mexican cuisine.

- What's included: guidance of a Russian-speaking guide, air-conditioned transfer in Mexico City, water in transport, taxes and fees
- What's not included: transfer from the hotel to Cancun airport and back ($95-120), plane tickets (~$400). We purchase plane tickets and can provide you with transfer to/from Cancun airport.
- The excursion in Mexico City is designed for a full day but without an overnight stay in the capital. You can decide to stay in Mexico City for additional time, it is advisable to inform us about it.
