About this experience
One can write many enthusiastic words about hot air balloon flights... In Cappadocia, breathtaking views of alien landscapes add to the feeling when your breath is taken away. I promise convenient organization and a spot in the colorful Montgolfier's basket. You will admire the valleys under the rays of dawn, see 60 balloons taking off, and take home hundreds of photos and even more memories!
You pay 50% of the cost on the website, as I pre-book seats on the balloon for you. The full cost is refunded only in case the balloons cannot fly due to bad weather.
What to Expect
Comfort and Safety
Hot air balloons take off almost daily year-round over the valleys of Cappadocia. The perfect landscapes and microclimate allow the balloon to float very smoothly—so you won't be scared. There will be three escorts with you in the basket, including professional pilots.
At 3:30-4:00 am (in winter and autumn — at 5:30-6:30) we will pick you up from the hotel. Then—transfer to the launch site, where you will see the balloon inflation (we have 10 launch sites— the one your balloon will take off from will be known in the morning). After the thrilling flight, you will receive a certificate. You will return to the hotel in time for breakfast.
One Hour over Alien Valleys
The course the balloons take depends on the wind, but you will definitely see the most beautiful panoramas. You will be impressed by the tall columns of the Love Valley, the stone “mushrooms,” the towering fortress city of Uchisar, and the rock-cut monasteries of Goreme. Our pilots will tell you the names of the places you fly over, and they also like to joke :)
Organizational Details
Read before booking
- IMPORTANT: we accept payment from any Russian or foreign bank card. You pay 50% of the cost on the website since the balloon seats are pre-booked for you. The remaining 50% of the cost is paid no later than one day before the flight (in cash or by bank transfer).
- The full cost is refunded only in case the balloons cannot fly due to bad weather.
- The flight is confirmed or canceled due to weather conditions the evening before.
- Please check seat availability BEFORE PAYMENT (50% payment guarantees a spot on the balloon, but in Cappadocia, there are complexities with flights, so force majeure situations are possible).
- If you want to fly in a 16-person basket, you need to book the flight at least 3 weeks before the planned date.
- Flight is prohibited for children under 6 years old and elderly people over the age of 65.
How the Flight Goes
- The flight lasts 60 minutes.
- You will be picked up from the hotel anywhere in Cappadocia, and after the flight, you will be brought back (you will make it in time for breakfast at the hotel). The morning transfer time will be communicated to you the evening before the flight (around 8:00-9:00 pm).
- The driver and pilot do not speak Russian, but you can always contact me with any questions.
- How is the balloon controlled? 40% is the pilot, 60% is the wind. The main thing is your safety, so the pilot on the spot decides at what height to fly.
- Balloons in Cappadocia take off year-round. But when planning your trip, consider that the flight may be postponed to the next day due to weather conditions.
Transfer to/from the airport is available upon request (group—10€ per person one way, private—80€ per car up to 4 people one way).
