About this experience
My story about the beloved city will touch upon the most beautiful part of Cologne - the part that is tender yet strong, sacrificial yet cunning. While walking through the historical center of Cologne, you will learn about several legends of women, each of whom played a significant role in the fate and development of the city. I will show you the woman who "ruined everything", the woman who saved many, and - who knows? - perhaps we will see over a cup of coffee the one who is currently steering Cologne.
What to Expect
Old Town and Center of Cologne
You will see numerous sculptures, fountains, and museums associated with important women for the city. You will hear legends about the beautiful Agrippina, the founder of Cologne, about the city's patron - Saint Ursula, see the fountain dedicated to the woman of Cologne who "ruined everything", and learn several other captivating stories.
The Landmark of Cologne - the Grand Cologne Cathedral of Saint Peter
You will learn about the main relics and history of the cathedral, and I will tell you a beloved old legend where the wife of the first architect plays the main role.
The "Female" Heritage of Cologne
This is a scent, perfume, or eau de cologne, which translates from French as Cologne water. You will see where the perfume was created - and where it was stolen, and learn where the true eau de cologne, made according to the unchanged formula, is sold.
The Street, Fun, Carefree, and Colorful Cologne Carnival
In the series of carnival days, there is one interesting event - the so-called Women's Thursday, when women reign in the city, and I will reveal to you the secret of how to behave correctly on this day and why.
