About the organizer
Hello everyone, my name is Lida, and I have been living in Istanbul for 10 years, 7.5 of which I spent on the Büyükada island. During this time, I have walked around the island hundreds of times, but I still can't get enough of it. It upsets me to read people's reviews about the island saying 'there's nothing special and it smells strongly of horses.' I want to introduce you to the 'living', non-touristy island, with its customs and way of life. I promise that the walk will be accompanied by interesting historical facts, jokes, and just stories about this beautiful island.
