About this experience
Hello, Thailand! Let's embark on a yacht journey around the Andaman Sea. For a week, we will enjoy the Thai sun, the beauty of pristine islands, and the softness of sandy beaches. We will start in Phuket, visit Naka Yai, Chicken Islands, Panak, Hong, and others. We will explore the Phi Phi archipelago and see the filming location of 'The Beach' with Leonardo DiCaprio. A professional chef will cook national dishes for us according to all preferences, and thanks to the captain, we will be able to admire sunrises, sunsets, and stunning natural landscapes from the best points of the route.
Organizational Details
Visa: Tourist visa is not required for short trips for Russian citizens. Visa-free stay for Russians is 30 days. After that, you can extend the visa for an additional 7 days for an extra fee, and then leave and re-enter for the same period. If you plan to stay longer, you need to apply for a visa.
Passport: A valid passport for the entire trip. Airlines sometimes have internal rules and may not let you board if your passport expires in less than 6 months. You need to clarify this with the specific airline and refer to the rules of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Medical insurance: not mandatory, but we recommend getting it as medical treatment in Thailand is expensive.
Vaccination or PCR test: not required.
Packing list:
Luggage. Sports bag or carry-on suitcase. The main rule is that the luggage should be small. A large suitcase will have nowhere to put it. There is a special trunk for smaller luggage - a duffel bag. Additionally, take a backpack: it's convenient to go ashore with it.
Medicines. Please take all medications you may need, including motion sickness pills - it's better to take them and not use them than to regret not taking them.
Clothing. Swimsuit or trunks! Take plenty - in warm latitudes, this will be your main attire, let it always be dry and not boring.
Yet yachts are surrounded by winds and cold water. Therefore, it can be cool there, especially at night. Therefore, be sure to take warm clothing, windproof jacket, and wool socks.
Footwear. It's best to have special yacht shoes - topsiders. Their main feature is a stiff, relief, and light-colored sole. However, by the same parameters, you can choose any other footwear: moccasins, sneakers, shoes. It's important that the sole is light: a dark sole leaves indelible marks on the deck. And don't forget flip-flops.
Headgear. A cap, bandana, Panama hat, or any other hat is a must. In autumn, a light sports cap is suitable. Check if they fit tightly on your head: the wind likes to play tricks.
It's desirable to bring towels: those provided on the yacht are not always the right size. We recommend quick-drying microfiber towels. Take one small for the face, one for the body.
Sunscreen. Protection level of 30 SPF and above. Remember that the sunscreen should last for the whole week, there will be nowhere to buy it.
Sports anti-glare sunglasses with UV protection. The reasons are the same: too much reflected light, eyes get tired on the sea. Take care of eyeglass straps in advance: it's the glasses that become Neptune's first tribute for novice yachtsmen.
