A Date with Trieste
You will see the monument to Empress Sissi in Piazza della Libertà and learn who the Borgo Teresiano district is named after. Visit the central square by the sea, stroll along the banks of the Grand Canal with pompous 19th-century palaces and drop by the Stock Exchange and Theatre squares. Everywhere you will be surrounded by love stories about celebrities who lived in the "beautiful era" on the eve of World War I in Europe and who visited Trieste each in their own time.
Taste of Trieste
As you wander through the city, you will hear the main rule of queens, discover what the people of Trieste did in coffee houses, and why they now prefer to drink cappuccino in a glass. Additionally, you will taste local sweets and find out where the most delicious hot chocolate and Prosecco with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice are served in the city.
