About this experience
Would you like to briefly feel like a student at one of the most prestigious and ancient educational institutions in Italy? I invite you to join my guided tour of the La Sapienza University campus. We will explore the student town and its surroundings, from classrooms and libraries to underground clubs and conceptual cafes. We will have lunch in the student cafeteria in the best traditions of Italian cuisine. And, of course, we will talk about the organization of the educational process at La Sapienza and the untold stories that the university walls hold.
What to Expect
Campus Tour
We will explore the most remarkable corners of the student mini-city, which includes not only classrooms and a library, but also its own church, police station, several free museums, and even a kindergarten. After inspecting the territory, we will visit the faculty buildings and maybe even peek into the classrooms. Along the way, I will tell you about the peculiarities of studying and admission to La Sapienza, as well as share stories from the university life: for example, about the student riots of the 70s or the mysterious murder of a student, shot by a sniper rifle during a break between lectures...
Student Cafeteria
Then I will take you to the student cafeteria: here you will see that Italians remain hedonists and do not change their gastronomic habits, even when it comes to public catering! When else will you have the opportunity to feel like a real Roman student over a delicious lunch?
Alternative San Lorenzo
After lunch, we will head to the nearby San Lorenzo, where students gather in pubs, pizzerias, and street food joints in the evenings. The complex past of this neighborhood explains its atmosphere, proletarian and bohemian at the same time. You will see an arch from the time of Emperor Augustus, located just steps away from an underground nightclub. Explore the former cinema, taken over by students and turned into an alternative cultural center. And then visit the former chocolate factory, transformed into a charming establishment where I invite you to meditate over a cup of delicious hot chocolate with cream.
Organizational Details
Lunch in the university cafeteria and other gastronomic expenses are paid separately.

I don't know how the stars aligned so perfectly that I found Anna and her tour in the online space, but I am immensely grateful for it! The last day of my stay in my favorite city became even more beautiful thanks to the extensive tour-walk with a person with whom there is so much to talk about. Sin...
