We will explore the historical part of Obninsk - the Old Town. Once villages and manors were located here. We will talk about their owners - famous public and political figures, representatives of art of the 18-19th centuries. We will inspect a 19th-century manor, associated with a beautiful love story.

We will not forget about the outstanding educator Stanislav Shatsky and his school-colony 'Joyful Life'. We will discuss why there is a monument to Spanish children in Obninsk. We will walk along cozy streets built in the Stalinist Empire style. We will peek into small courtyards, take photos, and discuss the difficult path to the 'peaceful atom'.

I will tell you the story of the creation of the first nuclear power plant on the site of the historical Old Town. We will find out why Obninsk is called the city of 'firsts'. We will see a real cut of a nuclear submarine, the tallest meteorological mast in Europe, the oldest monument in the city, and the only monument to a foreigner.
