About this experience
Round and rosy flatbread is the 'visiting card' of Kyrgyz cuisine. You will encounter it everywhere: at markets, cafes, shops, and local homes. I invite you to immerse yourself in the bread traditions of the country in a fun and heartfelt format! You will see how the traditional tandoor oven is made, make friends with bakers, and create your own flatbread. In addition, you will taste a real Osh breakfast.
What to expect
Breadful Osh
You will visit an outdoor workshop where you will uncover the secrets of making a tandoor oven. You will also meet local bakers: they will show you how to shape the flatbread and give it a presentable look. If you dare, you will be able to put the dough into the hot oven with your own hands! Finally, we will stop by a cozy teahouse, where we will taste an Osh breakfast with hot bread, fresh clotted cream, and green tea.
