About this experience
The main Christian relic of Turin is the Shroud of the Savior, but the city also has many other interesting religious objects and, most importantly, stories associated with them. I invite you to visit the churches and cathedrals of Turin, known for their beautiful architecture, and discuss the Christian heritage, miracles, and secular life in this Italian city.
What to expect
Turin is famous in the Christian world because since 1578 the Shroud of the Savior has been kept here. According to the rules, the Shroud is exhibited once every quarter of a century, the last time this event occurred in 2010 when more than two million people were able to see it. The last time it was exhibited was from April 19 to June 24, 2015 to mark the visit of the Pope, in honor of the two-hundredth anniversary of the birth of the city's patron saint, San Giovanni Bosco.
I invite you to discover Turin from the perspective of its Christian history, visit cathedrals and churches, delve into their history, talk about relics, the shroud, miracles, and life here.
We will see:
- Church of St. Lawrence
- Cathedral of Gran Madre di Dio
- Basilica of Superga
- Abbey of St. Antoninus
- Monastery of St. Michael
- and much more.
