Walking through Girona, you will better understand Catalonia, as the city embodies the main features of the region. I will make the meeting easy and engaging: in addition to serious sights, I will show you amusing monuments, intrigue you with stories about Girona's saints, share the best views of the city, and take you to a place with delicious Catalan ice cream!
What to Expect
Through Girona's Highlights and Beyond
Your introduction to the city will start with those colorful houses nestled along the river. And then you will go to see the popular and secret symbols of Girona and listen to fascinating facts about it. But let's go in order - in our program:
- enter the Old Town through the bridge and perform a city ritual near the "Girona lioness" on the ancient square;
- stroll to the medieval gates, enter Gerunda through the ancient Augustan road, learn about the traces of the first Girona saints along the way, hear the legend about flies, and take your time to enjoy the spirit of the city;
- climb to the viewpoints and admire the millennium-old Girona panorama;
- explore the dark alleys of the Jewish Quarter and penetrate the secrets of the Sephardic Jews and the esoteric teachings of Kabbalah.
The walk will end on a sweet note - you will sweeten the impression of our meeting with excellent Michelin ice cream!
