About this experience
I invite you to the foothills of the Himalayas, to the source of the great River Ganges. You will visit the picturesque Rishikesh, where yogis and spiritual seekers from all over the world gather. And also visit the neighboring Haridwar: take a cable car ride to an ancient temple and visit the sacred bathing ghat, where a colorful Hindu ceremony is held every evening.
What to expect
Main attractions of Rishikesh:
Patna Waterfall. You will enjoy the crystal clear streams of water flowing over rocky terrain, cutting through dense green forests.
Sage's Cave. It is believed to be around 3000 years old. The cave houses an altar and burning candles. Here, sadhus - ascetics, saints, and yogis - engage in spiritual practices. I will tell you why they chose this place.
Lakshman Jhula Bridge. Here, Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana crossed the Ganges and calmed his anger. You will see that on one side of the bridge the sacred river is noisy and fast-flowing, while on the other side it is calm.
Highlights of Haridwar:
Har Ki Pauri Ghat. An ancient sacred bathing ghat. According to beliefs, Vishnu spilled celestial nectar here and left a footprint. Every evening, hundreds of people gather here for a colorful Hindu ceremony.
Chandi Devi Temple. It is located at an altitude of 2900 meters. We will ascend to it by cable car through the jungles. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Devi, who helps Hindus control their minds and rid themselves of anxious thoughts.
