What to expect
The highlights of Ephesus
You will see the main attractions of Ephesus: the Agora trade square, the temples of Hadrian and Artemis, the Celsius Library, and the ancient theater that accommodates thirty thousand people. Additionally, I will show you the residential houses on the hill, the baths, and the ancient toilets, and explain the city's structure and meticulously planned life during the Roman Empire times.
Christian Ephesus
Ephesus was not just a thriving ancient city. In the late Roman period, it became an important religious center. You will visit its main Christian sanctuaries: the small stone house of the Virgin Mary on the hillside and the Basilica of John the Apostle. I will share the stories associated with them and help decipher the details of ancient architecture: statues, columns, porticos, and mosaics.
