About this experience
For a moment feel like a special guest, walking between perfectly trimmed bushes to the extravagant ceremonial castle - easily! You will be delighted by the impeccable park landscapes and luxurious palace halls. And I will tell you the most interesting facts about the summer residence of the Sternbergs and unique paintings.
What to Expect
Residence History
Walking through the magnificent garden, you will be transported to the castle's past: I will tell you about the architects and builders, the invited sculptors, and the first owner - Count Wenceslaus Adalbert Sternberg. In the park, you will find a delightful landscape in the style of French Baroque, fountains with sculptures of ancient Greek gods, and a view of Prague Castle - the residence of Czech rulers. We will talk about the vineyards planted by Count Sternberg, the chapel of St. Clare, reach the Ceremonial Staircase adorned with figures of ancient gods, and discuss the favorite myths of the Habsburg dynasty.
Step into Luxury
In Troja Castle - the epitome of Czech Baroque - you will admire the luxurious frescoes on the walls and vaulted ceilings, most of which support the ancient theme of the Ceremonial Staircase. I will lead you through the main hall, unmatched in Central Europe. You will appreciate its uniqueness: from different angles, the room changes shape and appearance. Lavish paintings, royal decor, monumental sculptures - you will examine all of this in detail, capture it in memory, and then ask me any questions.
If you wish, after the walk, you can visit the Botanical Garden and the zoo.
