How to understand the most unusual temple in the world? During the tour, I will show you the beauty and uniqueness of the Sagrada Familia, which became the meaning of life for the genius Gaudi. The stories will be understandable to both adults and children. You will immerse yourself in the history of the temple and see it as a coherent colorful picture. You will learn about the Bible on the facades and the saga of the 'sandcastle' construction. 1.5 hours around the temple is like almost 1.5 centuries of its life!
What to expect
Let's travel back to the 19th century together – a magical time for Barcelona. The city was rapidly growing: factories and plants were filling the suburbs, the people were getting wealthier not by days, but by hours; a new district called Eixample was being built, expanding Barcelona to the nearby towns. On one of the suburban fields, little boys used to herd goats, but one day... You will trace the whole path of the Sagrada Familia temple and find out:
- Who and when conceived it (spoiler - not Gaudi!), what was the original project, what scandal changed the entire plan, and how the construction began
- How Antoni Gaudi, a former student, became the architect of the Sagrada Familia, what were his sacrifice and genius
- Why the facades vary so much, what the figures on them mean, and what relation the Masons have to the temple
- Which scenes from the Bible are reflected in the temple's elements and how to interpret them
- What ghost haunts the temple and if it can be seen
- And why does the Sagrada Familia take so long to build
